You can always count on the fashion "aristocracy of talent" (Fran Lebowitz) to be as harsh and honest about a fashion show as they have to be no matter who is showing on the runway. Kanye West has become very well known in the industry as a front row commodity and lover of the art, maybe not by Vivienne Westwood and has not convinced the fashion elite yet with this show. For years now rumors have been floating around that Kanye will be debuting a clothing line called PastTelle, which no one thought was a surprise that an artist that has always cared about his wardrobe would take on such a venture. Kanye has evolved along with his music and has decided to take on the runway instead of street wear blogs with his first show for Spring 2012 Paris fashion week. All reviews have unanimously agreed that Kanye's show was too heavy, over styled, under styled, and ill fitting, but do praise his efforts and obvious passion and encourage him to try again. As I always say Kanye can do no wrong in my eyes but this time on the runway I would replace certain details and tighten up certain silhouettes but what do I know really this guy is sitting front row while I am on NYTF zooming in on pics.

Really enjoyed this short by the OCTV team and it was shot in Ecuador using a local cast. It was shot in an area that is considered very upscale where the community is very well of. So I guess the OC is known in this community, I know no one in my family or anybody they know are aware of the OC but they should be even if the price is not what a country like Ecuador is accustomed to.

Added at 8:44pm - Ok so I asked my mom who I believe may know more about Ecuador then President Correa himself. She told me that Las Penas was a very dangerous neighborhood at one point but since the late 90s is has been revived with businesses and kept historic to attract tourist. So that area to Ecuador is what SOHO and Williamsburg is to NYC.

I was really wishing for some bad writing in this last season so that I would be glad that they are ending it before they ruin it. That is not the case the 2 last episodes have been amazing! CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN LOSES THE TRADEMARK FOR THE RED BOTTOMS

Mr. Louboutin seen in the picture above had a bad day to say the least in court on August 10th, when a judge declined to approve his request for an injunction against Yves Saint Laurent for presenting shoes in their 2011 cruise collection that showcase a red sole. The models in question are the Tribute, Taboo, Palais, and Woodstock.

Now this does not mean that it is all over for Mr. Louboutin and these amazingly designed and passion filled pieces of wearable art. The judge simply decided that "Louboutin to claim that scarlet sole as its own would have been like forbidding Monet from using a specific shade of blue in his Water Lilies series because Picasso had been there first with paintings from his Blue Period." Now that says a lot about this decision and the judge that made it, I am on Mr. Louboutin side and respect artistic process and creation, but knew that one day this would happen because in a world of free enterprise all licenses expire.

I honestly feel that the red soles do give these shoes an amazing allure may it be to show a social status or the attempt to belong to it, or just the sheer appreciation for fine design at the end Mr. Louboutin has made his own lane out of pure beauty in his work which will only become more sought after if forced to change his aesthetic in sole palette.

Sorry to all the women and men who call themselves red bottom this red bottom that, its possible that V.I.M might carry some red bottoms real soon, you all should have appreciated it all and not just the image of a trademark.

It is trade show week here in New York so all your favorite brands from everywhere will be in town showing their new collections to buyers and catching up with old ones. I visit all three shows every year enjoying all the great garments by friends I haven't seen since the last show and meeting new ones.

The Brooklyn Circus as always is a must see because every year they provide a better product and improve their 100 year plan so visit at Project New York 9am-6pm till tuesday at 5pm.

Anybody if anybody reads my blog they will notice that the OC!! is a familiar topic, and the lead of every post about them is always their passion. These two are a powerhouse and I believe it is due to their passion and dedication in everything they do. From retail, blogging, OCTV, to the smallest detail in anything they do is always done right and executed with love and having fun! So excited over this and yet so down :( I am the biggest Entourage fan. I haven't entered any contest or anything but if I did I know I would win. The last season did not go over well with most viewers but like a true fan I enjoy the good and bad of this production. What stood out most to me in this trailer is how lean Turtle is this season. Will be bummed once its over but I am sure I will enjoy every minute while its on.

Upon stepping inside The Brooklyn Circus, it's evident that the store's moniker is somewhat inappropriate. Tucked away on a quiet, leafy corner of Brooklyn's Boerum Hill neighborhood, the menswear boutique is a far cry from the bedlam and cacophony of the big top. There are no lions or clowns or bearded ladies to be found—instead, you're greeted only by classic jazz, a group of nattily dandified young men, and racks upon racks of impeccably tailored duds.

When it opened in 2006, The Brooklyn Circus was mostly targeted at the streetwear set, stocking a plethora of rare sneakers and brands only regular readers of Hypebeast would be able to identify. But by 2008, the shop and its team—led by owner and creative director Ouigi "The Bearded Man" Theodore—shifted focus, acquiring a new, more mature aesthetic that falls somewhere between their streetwear roots and a 1930s haberdashery. "It's modern Americana mixed with a little Renaissance and a vintage twist," says store manager Troy Brooks of the store's idiosyncratic style.

Nowadays, the shop carries an eclectic mix of vintage clothing, watches, and jewelry, beautiful shoes from designers like Mark McNairy, Grenson, and Wolverine, and its much-heralded in-house label. Designed by The Bearded Man himself, the eponymous line runs the gamut from classic varsity jackets and bowties to oxford shirts remixed with boldly patterned sleeves and hefty leather belts outfitted in electric hues. Many of the fabrics are sourced from Japan, and the entire line is made in America.

With its rustic, well-considered interiors, the shop is a lot like Ron Burgundy's apartment: it has many leather bound books and smells of rich mahogany. Neckties are slung over velvet-covered couches, bags sit propped up on antique chests, while clothes hang perfectly in hand-carved wooden cabinetry.

Because of its midcentury clubhouse vibe, a visit to The Brooklyn Circus feels more like stopping by your favorite bar than it does like shopping. The dapper gentlemen behind the counter are just as eager to strike up a good conversation as they are to offer you sartorial advice. "We're not afraid to get down on one knee and get dirty to make sure our customers to get the full Brooklyn Circus experience," Brooks says.

At the heart of its ethos is "The 100 Year Plan." According to Brooks, rather than being "one of those companies that blow up fast and then burn out," the aim is to build a reputation for quality and service slowly over time. With an artfully designed, well-curated shop, fantastic in-house label, and a pleasant, family-like atmosphere, they're ahead of schedule.

A visit to Crocket and Jones on west 56th street. Since purchasing a pair of Grenson shoes I have become a fan and I am trying to become a devoted handmade British shoe enthusiast. Handmade shoes can be very costly but every gentleman should own a pair and I suggest that they be British. Sophie a good friend of mine and the district Manager for Crocket and Jones in the US gave me a tour of their shop along with a history lesson about the company and stated "these shoes are the best shoes available and it is not up for debate" These shoes are amazing and they start at $575.00 and go up in price but they are absolutely worth it because they are life time shoes if cared for correctly.

Along with Fashion I am a Film student so of coarse I had to go screen Woody Allen's latest Midnight In Paris and ok I love Rachel McAdams what man wouldn't. If you have never seen a Woody Allen film then this may be a good one to start of with and then ease into his great early works but I suggest you brush up on your Art and Literary history or you will not laugh. The film is a bit pretentious but hey its Woody Allen so just be glad it's in color. I enjoyed it but I enjoy most films and I do not suggest you take a date to see this unless you want her or him to think you are really smart or full of it :)

My friend and I actually contemplated driving down to Princeton just to sit in on one of Mr. West lectures so now we can save gas which is crazy! right now and just take it in at the graduate center, but I still want to sit in a class being taught by him.

Growing up in the back seat of a car and eventually driving myself up and down the FDR I became very familiar with Keith Haring's work especially the "Crack is Wack" handball court mural. It still amazes me how artist journey through their careers and the work is translated as well through all mediums. Clothing brands have used his art to cover their garments, I even spotted his work in many films the most recent Wall Street Money Never Sleeps. Seen above sun bathing on the lawn at Brookyln Bridge park is Nchimunya a good friend of mine. Her name Nchimunya stands for The 5th Born and she hailes from Denmark, born in Africa, studied in England, wrote poetry in Paris, worked on music in San Francisco, and now does cartwheels in Brooklyn. Nchimunya is working on a project so we took advantage of an amazing monday to be creative outdoors. The project is going to be... actually just check back for all the info once she is ready to reveal it to the world. I wrote about The BKc Wrist Accoutrements a while back which are designed by Nchimunya. So after her Mac died and my Moleskine was just about all filled up we decided to break out into spontaneous cartwheels, it was her idea but I took first crack at it. FYI the N in Nchimunya is silent.

ELLEN STAGG PHOTOGRAPHY at SHAG

Last Friday night I went down to Shag on N6th and Roebling in Brooklyn to check out the works by Ellen Stagg of Stagstreet.com. Besides the obvious erotic appeal of her works, which is great by all means beautiful women with tattoos in the nude. All those elements make up most peoples wildest and wet dreams, I enjoy it but what I really love is the connection between Ellen and her subjects that translates so well into her photography. The shots feel so personal as if she just shoots her friends in random situations when they are vulnerable and not with the intentions of getting a great shot. The exhibition runs till June at Shag so pass by and enjoy and pick up some toys while you are there, I like the metal rose with barb wire thorns. Ellen I love your work and hope to hear from you soon should you need any assistance Thanks!

Ok so if you know me you know that I love clothing, apparel, fashion whatever you want to call it I enjoy it. I am a student of fashion among other things but I do not enjoy the pretentious spectrum of any of it, I enjoy how it makes you feel. No matter what you are into low end, vintage, new, high end etc.. regardless of any of that the confidence of an outfit that feels great on is what feeds my passion for fashion. When wearing something that you feel great in it shows and people respond to it making you feel even better when you receive compliments. The tie was a gift and is my favorite part because of who gave it to me.
